paintballjake asked me at the meeting to price an economic game pc out for him, so I thought I would throw it out here in case anyone else it looking to upgrade.
Note: This machine is a great platform that will give you the ability (with a few additional upgrades when funds are available) to play (almost) any game, maxed out on the graphics settings, for another 2 years or so. Some things can be traded down, but, in my professional opinion, you would be giving up too much. In other words, you can buy or build pc for a lot cheaper, but why? If someone is looking for something that just needs to see the internet and do word processing, I have a mountain of machines I can sell for practically nothing.
Anyhow:

That comes to about 520 bucks, but you have to add shipping, but some items are on special and some items have mail in rebates, so the cost flucuates.
FYI, if you are looking for a new pc but want something thats factory assembled with a good warranty, Dell's Vostro 200 is a good deal and is a beautiful tower (mirror finished black). Cost a bit more and you would have to add a new video card, but peace of mind is worth it sometimes.
